[*** How to save mesos used to purchase mastery books from NPC (Non-Playable Character) in Leafre Town***]
Hunt bosses which drop Silent Crusade coins, and use the Silent Crusade UI (User Interface, there will be a light bulb quest at the left of the screen to inform you about the UI)
Untradable Mastery Book 20: costs 65 Silent Crusade coins
Untradable Mastery Book 30: costs 100 Silent Crusade coins
Recommended bosses to hunt:
Ariant :

Deo (Cactus boss, around lv80+, but you can start hunting it at lv70+)
Magatia (Zenumist monster maps):
Security System: Around lv90+.
Chimera (there is an NPC in the Zenumist monster map, who will allow you to access Chimera. You can use Scroll Lock to take a screenshot of the password, which you will need to key in once, at both of the Zenumist-to-Alcadno “connecting doors”.) : Around lv100, but you can start hunting it at lv90+.
The 2 bosses which drop Silent Crusade coins, even when your character is at around lv140+,
are as follows:
El Nath - Dead Mine region - Snowman
El Nath - Dead Mine region - Riche (around lv130+, you can start hunting it at lv120+, but please make sure NOT to use the “heal” skill if you are playing as a Bishop, because when your character is *zombified* by Riche, using *heal* deals a lot of damage to your Bishop, and *can kill your Bishop*.)

{17}
Selling "Arcane River Water Drop Stone" for about 24,999,999 mesos via Maple Auction
(I first obtained the item by hunting normal monsters in the [480- or 520-] Arcane-Force monster maps for 5th Arcane River region Moras)
Selling "Sea of Beginnings Water Drop Stone" for about 99,999,999 mesos via Maple Auction
(I first obtained the item by hunting normal monsters in the [560- to 640-] monster maps for 6th Arcane River region Esfera.)
***Based on the sale of the "Sea of Beginnings Water Drop Stone, it is possible to sell items at 50% of the current lowest Meso price for items which have not been sold in Maple Auction.***
= [END OF METHOD INDEX LIST] = *** NOTE: A COMBINATION OF the [2nd (mining+herbalism) + 4th (normal root abyss bosses once a day for each of the 4 bosses soloing, using 2m per reg svc) + 6th (normal mode Hilla twice a day)+ 7th method (black bean, selling off the usable potions to an npc shop)] can earn us a lot of mesos!!! = = UPDATE ON SATURDAY, 15 AUGUST 2015: A MapleStorySEA player has pointed out that the revamped Evolving System NO LONGER drops herbalism herb(seeds and flowers) and mining ores. The drop-rate-boosting Evolving System cores have also been REMOVED from the shop in Evolving System. The relevant "non-@cash meso-earning" FaceBook note will be updated. Thank you.
= =
For the 2nd method in the meso-earning note (MINING+HERBALISM), the way to earn the most mesos from this method is: Find a monster map and mine/harvest BLACK & PURPLE herbs and veins. Using the same monster map, mine/harvest for 20 consecutive channels. Then, keep repeating the process till you reach a fatigue level of 200/200. If there are heartstones, gold flowers, mysterious & legendary mine veins and herb piles, please mine them as they may give items worth much more than even a wisdom crystal. Please refer to the method for the prices updated till end July 2014, thank you. Usually, but not always, [heartstones, gold flowers, mysterious & legendary mine veins and herb piles] may appear if you repeat the 20 consecutive channel process, AFTER going through 1 round of that. (Don't forget to make the crystals/plates from the ores, and make the herb oils from the herbs, especially the BLACK AND PURPLE ones!!!) NOTE: Fatigue level decreases (recovers) by 20, at the start of every hour.☺
= =
Update: Credits to another player, for pointing out that heartstones, gold flowers, mysterious and legendary mine veins, and mysterious and legendary herb piles NO LONGER spawn in the first sleepywood monster map 'Silent Swamp'. Please take note that monster maps which are NOT timed dungeons, will only spawn heartstones, gold flowers, mysterious and legendary mine veins, and mysterious and legendary herb piles, only if normal mine veins and normal herb plants spawn in the maps. Thank you.
= =
*****Update: Lv180 Root Abyss middle dungeon: Mine/harvest all the purple & black mine veins and herbs for 20 consecutive channels, then repeat the process. Because, this monster map has a higher chance to generate/trigger heartstones, gold flowers, mysterious & legendary mine veins and herb piles, as compared to other monster maps. But, for the first Sleepywood monster map, 'Swamp - Silent Swamp', simply just change channels for 20 consecutive channels, there should at least be 1 heartstone or gold flower. "heartstones, gold flowers, mysterious & legendary mine veins and herb piles" - these give the most meso-earning mining/herbalism stuff.*****
=
=
***Very important NOTE for MONSTER LIFE FARM: The maximum amount of waru you can have in your monster farm is 9,999,999 waru (10 million minus 1). If your next waru earning by whatever method, makes the total sum of your waru exceed that figure, your waru will not increase, and that waru earning will be WASTED!
Changes to Monster Farm (Monster Life), includes the decoration(beauty) points limit being raised from 99,999 to 999,999: http://www.maplesea.com/updates/view/v170_zestandzeal_patch_notes/#1
*** *** - METHODS ARE NO LONGER IN ORDER OF HIGHEST TO LOWEST MESO EARNING RATE. =
Glowing Soul Crystal (drop item, which is blue in colour, and has an egg-like shape) from expedition bosses, which can be sold to NPC (non-playable character) Collector in the Free Market, for at least 600k mesos each.
= Price changes just after the RED patch arrived in mapleSEA (this will be updated till end July 2014, as I am quitting MapleStorySEA due to the start of my university studies. I will log back in for new character slots (+1 each) per new job patch, till my 25 characters slots reach the maximum of 30 character slots per account, for mapleSEA account. Thank you ^0.o^) : - Interesting and useful fact: After mining the same monster map for 20 consecutive channels, repeating the process will, most of the time, produce one of the following in at least one of the same 20 consecutive channels: Heartstone, gold flower, mysterious mine vein, legendary mine vein, mysterious herb pile OR legendary herb pile. Hope this helps:) TESTED by Yours Truly.

================= ============= {1} 1st METHOD - Selling Shadow Cygnus core service in Evolving System (because my maple friend told me) Mirror of Dimension> Evolving System > Evolving System link 3 (mobs are attracted to 1 area with fixed time intervals!!!) 5 times a day (20 minutes per round), get 600 evolving coins, sell people the 600 evolving coin core that summons a replica of Empress Cygnus expedition boss, called 'Shadow Cygnus', for 1 billion mesos. - IMPORTANT NOTE: The buyer requires you to summon the boss and DON'T leave the Evolving System or Party, or else everyone will be expelled from the Evolving System, and it will be wasted and not worth the buyer's mesos. AND he is entitled to ALL THE DROPS, so do NOT MAX your daily 5 times Evolving System ENTRY! Don't forget to do the quest in link 3 for 1 evolving coin and some EXP. = = = {2} 2nd METHOD - MINING & HERBALISM(harvesting) = TO BE READ FIRST. IMPORTANT. (Locations of mine veins and herbs)
***Please use the NPC/GATHER key in keyboard settings. Thank you.*** =
More updates for Maple Auction and Ardentmill professions are included in the following weblink:
IMPORTANT: “The upper limit of the amount of mesos that can be held in a single inventory has been increased from 9,999,999,999 to 29,999,999,999. This also applies to all transactions.”

After the You&I Patch hit MapleStorySEA, these are the following changes: 1) The normal herbs and mine veins are found in the bottom right portal of Ardentmill - they are NO LONGER found in monster maps. You can enter it an number of times daily, and choose which mining & herbing area you want to enter. NO ticket is required to be purchased from npc Nack at the top left of Ardentmill anymore. The herbs and mine veins in each area are stated. The special herbs and mine veins - heartstones, gold flowers, mysterious/legendary mine veins and herb piles - are still found in monster maps. Please read point number 2 - Thus, I suggest mining and herbing(harvesting herbs) purple crystal ores and purple herbs to make purple crystals, purple herb oils and get purple magic powder (at a low chance), since these are worth the most mesos from NORMAL mine veins and NORMAL herb oils. = 2) Do NOT forget to mine/harvest the special herbs and mine veins - heartstones, gold flowers, mysterious/legendary mine veins and herb piles, for crystals, herb oils, purple and black magic powder, pieces of time, essences of twilight, brilliant essences of twilight, dream fragments and lv110 to lv140 resurrection flames. They are worth a lot of mesos if you have enough and many of them. Please read point number 3. = 3) All prices of etc items obtained from mining & herbing are stated below. (Don't forget to make the crystals/plates from the ores, and make the herb oils from the herbs, especially the BLACK AND PURPLE ones!!!) NOTE: Fatigue level decreases (recovers) by 20, at the start of every hour.☺ = Heartstones and/or gold flowers sometimes appear at least once in 'Swamp-Silent Swamp' of Sleepywood. (The 1st monster map of Sleepywood). That is, if you go through all 20 channels consecutively. No idea why. = *****Update: Lv180 Root Abyss middle dungeon: Mine/harvest all the purple & black mine veins and herbs for 20 consecutive channels, then repeat the process. "heartstones, gold flowers, mysterious & legendary mine veins and herb piles" - these give the most meso-earning mining/herbalism stuff.***** = Mining (requires mining to be learnt in Ardentmill) heartstones and mysterious & legendary mine veins, and harvesting (requires herbalism to be learnt in Ardentmill) gold flowers, mysterious & legendary herb piles, to get: = (Interesting and useful fact: After mining the same monster map for 20 consecutive channels, repeating the process will, most of the time, produce one of the following in at least one of the same 20 consecutive channels: Heartstone, gold flower, mysterious mine vein, legendary mine vein, mysterious herb pile OR legendary herb pile. Hope this helps:) TESTED by Yours Truly.)
= @ @ @ Harvesting ANY HERB: Rose clipping (extremely rare item from herbing(herbalism), obtained from any herb, any mysterious herb pile, and any legendary herb pile, needed to unlock pocket slot for character when the character's charm level is level 30) 1 million mesos each. = = = {3} 3rd METHOD - Holy Symbol service Holy Symbol service per HOUR (applicable to priests, bishops and phantoms) at least 50m!!! = = = {4} 4th METHOD - NORMAL ROOT ABYSS BOSSING for drops NORMAL ROOT ABYSS BOSSING, 1 time per each of the 4 bosses, solo, NORMAL mode (party of 2 to 6 to enter): - Looks like I need to move on after my Root Abyss buddy stopped being online for a few months already. To earn my 99,999 Mesos each suspicious cubes and roughly 49,999 mesos each lv110 resurrection flames. A party of at least 2 people is required to enter root abyss doors. - (Root Abyss normal boss drops) Suspicious cubes worth 99,999 Mesos each, Twisted essence of time 99,999 Mesos and lv110 resurrection flames worth 49,999 mesos each. (For your information only, the price of a lv120 flame is 49,999 mesos, from normal Hilla expedition, which can be solo-ed twice a day, with the 2nd fight being at a different channel.)*** If you are able to buddy someone and share the suspicious cubes and flames equally, by taking turns to loot the next suspicious cube and next flame, there is a guaranteed 1 suspicious cube (50% drop chance) and 2 lv110 flames (100% drop chance, 1 flame per boss) per day just by fighting the 4 normal Root Abyss bosses per day. - Not forgetting THIS: "There is a VERY LOW CHANCE of obtaining suspicious cubes by exchanging green Yggdrasil Rune Stones or blue Yggdrasil Rune Stones for equipment boxes from npc Oko in Root Abyss. For a higher chance, do NOT choose the weapon box as it requires 4 coins, the others require 2 coins per box only!" = If you end up just getting a lv110 equipment, use it for your main or your mules if it has primary stat +3% potential or all stats+3% additional stats (if it increases buffed damage range), otherwise, just extract the equipment for advanced item crystal 99,999 Mesos each. You can get superior item crystals worth 49,999 Mesos each at a low chance, and philosopher's stone 74,999 Mesos each at a much lower chance. - Tips for defeating the bosses are here, not reading will make you die continously. Dying more than 5 times means you lose against the boss. Remember that you can enter a boss's BOSS MAP (not the monster map before that!), once a day. SO PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!!! https://www.facebook.com/notes/soh-jiong-hao/maplesea-root-abyss-normal-mode-fast-meso-earning-method-requires-high-damage-ra/557396644355728 Never mind, I'll put the tips here anyway :P - 1. Ban Ban (rooster/chicken boss): Dodge his staff blast attack and jumping earthquake attack (both stun and deal about 90+% of your HP!!!) 'Trap' him in the BLACK areas to increase the time remaining. The white areas decrease the time remaining, so AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS. - - 2. Pierre (clown boss): Do NOT attack him when you are wearing a clown hat (that he cast on you) that is of the same colour as his own hat, as you will end up healing him!!! When his hat is red, be careful, because after he teleports, he will go to a random spot in the boss map and start hammering the space just in front of him. You will die even with HEAVEN's DOOR on, if you get hit by that. When he CHASES a player, the flame trail he leaves behind does 2000 damage (before factoring in % elemental resistance) to you!!! - - 3. Bloody Queen: Be careful of her 'shield (barrier)' when her eyes are 'BLACK'. It is a DAMAGE REFLECT shield. Turn off all active skills that can deal damage when you touch or teleport towards or past her!!! Once she summons a mirror, destroy it immediately, failing which you will be 'sucked' towards it, and once you touch it, you will die no matter what!!! Be careful of the black areas she summons, which deal 2000 damage on you, unless you get out of it (teleport, jump out, anything)!!! Also stay behind her at ALL COSTS as her multi-hit flame attack deals so much damage that it can kill you. - - 4. Vellum: Dodge the rock attacks which don't deal damage but WILL STUN YOU. Also stay behind him at ALL COSTS as his fireball attack (attacks the space in front of him, from the one nearest to him, to the furthest, total of 3 fireballs), will 1-hit KILL YOU!!!! - = = = {5} 5th METHOD - EXTRACTING level 140+ WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT - level 210+ Twilight Perion Party Play Area

Twilight Perion Party Play Area.
Good source of level 140 equipment and weapons MOSTLY FOR YOUR OWN JOB TYPE. i.e.***[WARRIOR, MAGICIAN, THIEF, BOWMAN or PIRATE only!!!]***
-
***WHICH MEANS: IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET THE OTHER JOB TYPES’ ITEMS, AT A LOWER DROP RATE.***
-
***This drop rate for level 140 items is much higher than that of level 140+ Dimension Invade (via Mirror of Dimension).***
-
Includes weapons, the glove, the hat, the overall, the shoe, and a cape, with a chance to have hidden potential.
-
It will take almost 400,000 mesos to reveal the potential of level 140 items, with the magnifying glass button in your inventory.
-
Recommendation: Do not go into the other hidden maps via the "golden portals". Stick to the first Party Play Area map. (level 210+ "Party Play (Area)" Transformed Stump and "Party Play (Area)" Transformed Dark Stump, with lower HP than the usual/normal/Non-Party-Play level 190+ Transformed Stump and Transformed Dark Stump.)-
-
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: It is very easy to die from the Party Play area's level 210+ "Transformed Stumpies".
-
If you are a magician with magic guard (passive or active type), and you are not at full HP and MP, and even if your magic guard is activated/on (it SHOULD be on here), it is very easy to die with one flame breath of a Party Play Area "Transformed Stumpies".
-
Personally died to it. Avoid attacks of level 210+ Party Play Area "Transformed Stumpies", (and also the normal level 200 "Transformed Stumpies") at all costs.
-
NOTE:Party Play Area monsters can deal more than 1 attack on you, without any few seconds of invincibility.

Level 135+ item SHOP***: There is a shop which sells level 135+ items for Frontier Coins, which can be obtained by defeating monsters in the Party Play Area.
-
The drop rate for Frontier Coins is very low. -
For meso-earning information: OTHER than selling the level 140 items to an NPC shop:Go to the profession town Ardentmill, learn herbalism, learn alchemy, and extract the level 140 items for item crystals. You need to be beside the Alchemy Book in Ardentmill, and use the bottom left button in your inventory to do so. The estimated player-buyer prices in mesos, in Bootes server, are as follows.
==

{6} 6th METHOD - NORMAL MODE HILLA SOLOING for drops NORMAL mode HILLA (solo twice a day): 1 lv120 resurrection flame (can be sold for 49,999 mesos each) and 1 suspicious cube (can be sold for 99,999 Mesos, drop rate is NOT 100%) per NORMAL mode Hilla (Fight for Azwan via Mirror of Dimension on towns). No death EXP loss and unlimited deaths in NORMAL mode. THERE IS death exp loss in CHAOS MODE. To enter solo as the same expedition leader, simply change the channel after defeating NORMAL mode Hilla the first time. Normal mode Hilla also has a small chance of dropping Twisted essence of time 99,999 Mesos each. The lv120 necro weapons from normal mode Hilla have a high chance of becoming superior item crystals worth 49,999 Mesos each, or even become philosopher's stones worth 74,999 Mesos each, or become advanced item crystals worth 99,999 Mesos each when extracted, and the monsters drop lv90 equipment and weapons which can become either intermediate item crystals (199,999 Mesos each) or advanced item crystals (99,999 Mesos each, at a small chance) when extracted. = = = {7} 7th METHOD - Selling Black Bean's tradable potions (5 times solo a day) RECOMMENDED LEVEL: LEVEL 120+ ***Fast few million mesos per day: Soloing BLACK BEAN 5 times a day (Victoria Island 6-path crossway > airplane renting NPC > Gold Beach> Black Cat NPC), 0.01% exp at lv 207 per win, 2% exp at level 134, tradable potions from the 5 rounds can earn you a few million mesos in total if you sell them to npc shops. (Reindeer milk, dew, elixir and power elixir). Lv70 TRADABLE accesories with NO set effect drop from the boss too, which have a chance to have hidden potential, up to +2% of a primary stat!!!! Good to boost your lv70+ link skill and/or character card mules. And you can extract the lv70 un-(auto-flame/potential)-boosted items to get intermediate item crystals to sell at 199,999 Mesos EACH!!!!! (and a small chance to get advanced item crystals worth 99,999 mesos each by doing so.) BLACK BEAN also has a VERY LOW chance to drop TRADABLE CHAOS SCROLL 60%(s) for 1,499,999 Mesos each(got it twice so far only, as at 24 April 2014)! Recommended average buffed damage range is 100k (i.e. 100,000), because once you are hit by black bean's attacks, you get the 'wet' abnormal status effect which reduces your damage range by about 50% and you cannot jump, and you will die if you are hit by another attack! No death % EXP loss if you die 1 to 4 times, or all 5 times(failed round). YOU HAVE TO RELOG to recover from 'wet'. (point number 8).
***NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY HAVE 1 BLACK BEAN RING BEING EQUIPPED OR BEING IN YOUR INVENTORY. YOU CAN STORE A CHARACTER'S BLACK BEAN RING IN YOUR STORAGE, TO ALLOW YOUR CHARACTER TO GET MORE BLACK BEAN RINGS. THANK YOU.***
Total guaranteed earnings from selling all the tradable potions from the 5 daily rounds to npc shops: 3.1m to 3.4m mesos = = = {8} 8th method (contributed by a mapleSEAer) - Monster Farm meso-earning methods using alchemy(requires herbalism) to extract NECRO equipment and weapons - please refer to some of the prices of the drops at the top of this FaceBook note.

Evolving System(ES) - Necro weapon drop from monsters in ES link 3 (highest monster respawn rate). Extract Necro weapons to obtain advanced item crystals, superior item crystals and philosopher's stones, to sell for mesos. = UPDATE ON SATURDAY, 15 AUGUST 2015: A MapleStorySEA player has pointed out that the revamped Evolving System NO LONGER drops herbalism herb(seeds and flowers) and mining ores. The drop-rate-boosting Evolving System cores have also been REMOVED from the shop in Evolving System. The relevant "non-@cash meso-earning" FaceBook note will be updated. Thank you. = I quote: "ES keeps dropping necro weapons, which mean a lot of superior item crystal/philosopher's stone/advanced item crystal." ================================ {9} 9th Method - meso-earning methods possible, by playing a ZERO job character - 1. DIMENSION FRAGMENT 2,499 mesos each, from Zero Mirror World dungeons, and it is worth 10 Timic Coins (from monsters and bosses in Mirror World dungeons, and Mirror World town quests) in the quartermaster's shop in Zero's Temple. = 2. lv172 Zero Mirror World Time Temple Amnesiac Time Keeper quest gives a TRADABLE 100% weapon attack +3 (1 upgrade slot) GLOVE scroll! Therefore, at least 1 BILLION mesos. ========================= {10} 10th method - Monster Farm meso-earning methods using alchemy(requires herbalism) to extract equipment and weapons

Train monster farm, harvest waru when you login, get better buildings, save till you have at least about 200k waru (which is 200000 waru), so as to have enough waru to buy better buildings and decoration for your farm to become better.

Changes to Monster Farm (Monster Life), includes the decoration(beauty) points limit being raised from 99,999 to 999,999: http://www.maplesea.com/updates/view/v170_zestandzeal_patch_notes/#1
======================================= =========================== {11} 11th method - Veracent meso-earning methods using alchemy(requires herbalism) to extract equipment and weapons

(Learning alchemy requires herbalism to be learnt first)

***Reaching lv6 alchemy allows you to extract equipment/weapons up to lv120 for free, using the bottom left button in the inventory window, near the Alchemy npc (non-playable character) in Ardentmill (profession area).***

Complete all Veracent quests (lv100+ to start doing), and fight the boss Kerberos 6 times a day. There is a very small chance to get Chaos Scroll 60% Tradable (just like at Black Bean of Gold Richie Junior's Gold Beach, 5 times a day) - the buyer's price of this TRADABLE scroll is roughly 1,499,999 Mesos in Bootes. For Kerberos, it drops boxes which give UNTRADABLE equipment and accessories, and it also drops UNTRADABLE darkness accessories, with levels of the equipment and accessories ranging from lv98 to lv125. The untradable darkness accessories that it drops (NOT from the boxes) - darkness ring, darkness pendant, darkness shoulder pad, having a chance to have hidden potential. For unwanteed equipment and accessories, just extract them using alchemy to obtain advanced item crystals (worth 99,999 mesos each), superior item crystals (worth 49,999 mesos each) and philosopher's stones (worth 74,999 mesos each) to sell to other players.
Philosopher's stones 74,999 mesos each [mysterious/legendary veins and herb piles(very low chance using this method]

============================== ============================== {12} 12th method - EASY Magnus (For access: level 90, light bulb quest at the left of the screen, defeat monsters in a map to unlock the pre-quests for NORMAL Magnus and access to Easy Magnus.
-
There should be a light bulb quest, when you reach a certain level, to fight Easy Magnus) Location of boss: Heliseum Reclamation HQ.
-
A party of at least 1 member, who is level 115+, is needed. Can only be done 1 time, per day, per character.
-
The boss has an attack that can hit damage half of your HP.-DODGE the meteors. They deal very high damage (the larger they are, the more damage they deal).-Magic guard (skills which some magician jobs have only) seems to be unable to absorb any damage taken during the fight!!!
-
Drops 1 suspicious cube (the drop rate might not be 100%) per EASY Magnus boss. Can be sold for 99,999 Mesos each to a player (who is willing to buy a suspicious cube) in Bootes.

Selling "Arcane River Water Drop Stone" for about 24,999,999 mesos via Maple Auction
(I first obtained the item by hunting normal monsters in the [480- or 520-] Arcane-Force monster maps 5th Arcane River region Moras)

Selling "Sea of Beginnings Water Drop Stone" for about 99,999,999 mesos via Maple Auction
(I first obtained the item by hunting normal monsters in the [560- to 640-] Arcane Force monster maps for 6th Arcane River region Esfera.)
***Based on the sale of the "Sea of Beginnings Water Drop Stone, it is possible to sell items at 50% of the current lowest Meso price for items which have not been sold in Maple Auction.***
"I guess it is easier for unfunded players to sell in-game items, via Maple Auction, at much lower meso prices, as items (with the same item names) which have not been currently sold yet.
For example, in Bootes server of MapleStorySEA, (I apologise if the item name is wrong) Arcane River Water Drop Stone is sold by other players in Maple Auction for at least about 270 million mesos each (or "per unit"), via Maple Auction. I was only able to sell the Arcane River Water Drop Stone, from one of the normal monsters in the 480- or 520- Arcane Force monster maps of the 5th Arcane River region Morass, for about 24,999,999 mesos (which is 24.999,999 million mesos), via Maple Auction. If unfunded players are able to continue selling their items via Maple Auction, even though we may not earn much, at least we may be able to gradually decrease the prices of items which unfunded players can obtain through non-in-game-event, and in-game-event methods. Thank you."
