[MapleSEA] MERGED lv1 to lv275 Training Note

Contents page: https://maplestoryseatips.blogspot.sg/2016/03/maplesea-contents-page-of-facebook-notes.html

Due to the You & I Patch increasing the levels of monsters in many monster maps, and increasing the HP and experience of all monsters, players whom I have shared my lv1 to lv70, lv70 to lv120 and lv120+ training notes have asked me for training guides for the You & I Patch, but I can only probably do one when I train my Eunwol from lv1 to lv120 for its rank S (lv100 to lv199) character card and lv2 (at lv120) link skill. Those 3 notes mentioned above will be deleted, and will be replaced with this. This is the best I can come up with, for the time being. Please pay special attention to whatever is in BOLD. Thank you.

***IMPORTANT!!!! TO BOOST MONSTER EXPERIENCE RECEIVED!!!
RUNE SYSTEM:
Using the 'npc chat/harvest' keyboard settings button shortcut (make sure it is set to your desired keyobard key), activate runes you see in monster maps. You will then have 10 seconds to press the correct 4-arrow-key combination. Usually, they will give a 100% boost to monster experience received for 2 minutes. The cooldown time for using another rune is 15 minutes.***

Recommendations for Monster Park:
Case 1: If your character(s)’ traits are not at level 100, then you may kindly spend Monster Park coins on the equipment which give traits; but do kindly take note that a pocket equipment can only be equipped only if your character(s)’ have their respective pocket equipment slot(s). There is only 1 pocket equipment slot for each character.
As a gentle reminder, the quest to unlock the pocket equipment slot will appear at the left side of the screen, once your character(s)’ ***charm*** trait reaches level 30. There should not be any (urgent) need to increase your charm trait beyond level 30.
-
Case 2: Only if your character(s)’ traits have reached level 30 for the charm trait, and level 100 for ***each*** of the other 5 traits (ambition, willpower, diligence, empathy, and insight), you may kindly spend Monster Park coins on ***Extreme Gold***, which boosts EXP gained from defeating monsters by 10%, for 30 minutes.

For jobs which use throwing stars, e.g. Night Lord and Night Walker:
NOTE: "27 weapon attack" Hwabi Throwing Stars can be obtained from training in the level 105 to level 114 (Zebra Stripe Ticket) area, which you can only enter with a character within the stated/aforementioned levels.

This throwing star should be about 2 weapon attack stronger than ilbi (Ilbi) throwing stars, which have about "25 weapon attack".

Thank you.

***IMPORTANT: Monster Park, Dead Tree Forest (lv170 to lv179 in Monster Park) (The monster maps are that of outside Dead Mine to inside Dead Mine (near El Nath town on the world map)!!!), Stage 6, final boss, has the ability to cast '1HP/1MP'. Please bring along power elixirs if you need to go through Dead Tree Forest in monster park, and make sure you are cured of any poison effects(from the lava rock's poisonous air vents) before you face the final boss. You can use all-cure potions, and also Hero's Will, or any skill which cures status effects, to cure yourself of the poison effect. My bishop main died to the final boss once even though it had many power elixirs, because I was not expecting the final boss to have the '1HP/1MP' ability.*** https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=725764994185558&set=pb.100002561932116.-2207520000.1420791993.&type=3&theater

{3} Do THEME DUNGEON quests
- those quests give a lot of experience points usually(NOT ALL THE TIME).
Please check for them using the light bulb at the left of your screen.
=
=
=
{4} Do quests your level & do the Stellar Detectives storyline quests (Unlocked from level 33 onwards, RED BOOK icon at the LEFT of the screen https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1125996197495767&set=a.119532404808823.22143.100002561932116&type=3&theater)
- check your quest window.
=
=
=
{5} Do quests from the LIGHT BULB at the left of the screen -
they unlock when you reach the required levels to do certain quests, job-specific storyline quests(they give good experience), job-specific JOB ADVANCEMENT quests (at lv30, lv60 and lv100, and ZERO does not have any job advancements, they usually do not give experience. Doing JOB ADVANCEMENT late CAN result in loss of Job Advancement BONUS SP!!!) or THEME DUNGEONS(they give good experience, but NOT ALL THE TIME, as mentioned in point 3).
=
There may be OTHER theme dungeons not found in the World Map, and are thus NOT mentioned in the list of monster maps' monster levels at the middle of this document.
=
SILENT CRUSADE:
Do NOT miss out on the SILENT CRUSADE (from lv90, to lv160!!!) which appears via light bulbs!!! Silent crusade quests give a lot of experience points and untradable potions. Advice: Save the silent crusade coins from chapter 1 to chapter 3 out of the 4 chapters, for the 255-silent-crusade-coin lv115 Mystic Face Accessory (+2wa/ma, +1 stats when clean). Equipping 3, 4 and 5 lv115 Mystic Accessories give the effect of +7stat +6wa/ma EACH. That means 3 times of that effect when all 5 of the Mystic Accesories are equipped.
=
Using the cross hunter/silent crusade/crusade hunter button in KEYBOARD SETTINGS, you can access a shop which sells 4 of the Mystic Accesories - the FULL SHOP is in the Silent Crusade Headquarters, which can be accessed via the golden portal at the far right of the building behind npc Bastille in Edelstein.
=
***You can only enter Mystic Gates 15 TIMES a day, and there are a total of 4 chapters with 5 bosses each, making a total of 20 bosses ranging from lv90 to lv160, so choose which Mystic Gates you enter carefully.***
=

=
=
{6} Do event quests(star icon at the left of the screen) -
they give experience for your level, usually(NOT ALL THE TIME).
=

=
{7} Train at monster maps your level (List of levels of monsters as per the world map PROVIDED)

Players usually train at the lv168 to lv176 (Official Knights A, B, C, D and E) party play monsters areas, with a HS-er (Holy Symbol-er, meaning a bishop, or a phantom who has stolen this 3rd job skill from a bishop). The areas are Knight Stronghold: Knight Districts 1 to 4, Knight Stronghold: First and Second Drill Halls, and Knight Stronghold: Armoury 1 and Armoury 2.
-
There is a Party Play Area in Twilight Perion (accessed from a MONSTER MAP) with lv210+ monsters, and the party play Transformed Stumpies are very dangerous - they deal a lot of damage with their attacks. My lv200+ Bishop main died from it because I did not bother to heal its MP to full, even though Magic Guard was activated. Tried again, healing my MP to full whenever it was not, and barely survived.

The amount of extra Arcane Force required to receive 1 damage from Arcane River region normal monsters are as follows (please kindly take note that the random flying monster of each Arcane River region, does 10% buffed HP damage per hit, and disables potion use. Credits to a TMS (MapleStory Taiwan) player friend from the MapleStory Amino (a community which is for all different versions of MapleStory, MapleStory Mobile, and MapleStory 2, for which the original versions were created by Nexon Korea), for letting me know that the maximum Arcane Force required to receive only 1 damage from normal monsters for each Arcane River regions, is 1.5 multiplied by each Arcane River region's highest Arcane Force for its monster maps.

= 1. Road to Extinction (in Arcane River): 1) Maximum level of normal monsters: lv209. 2) Maximum Arcane Force of normal monsters: 80 Arcane Force. 3) Maximum Arcane Force required to receive only 1 damage from all normal monsters=80+(80/2)=120. *Please be careful of the random flying monster in this region's monster maps*. The random flying monster is Erdas' Lantern. IMPORTANT: Relevant Update Notes for Maximum Arcane Symbol level: http://www.maplesea.com/updates/view/v171_nova_patch_notes/#1 Whenever you enter a monster map in this region, a flying ***Erdas’ Latern*** will appear, which attacks your character physically(it does not do a blast attack). This monster *also* appears once every set duration of time you are in a monster map in this region. - Its physical damage to your character, also [causes you to be unable to use potions, and also cancels off any skills which block status resistance attacks once, with cooldown(of the skills)], and does some damage (which is MORE THAN 1 DAMAGE, in fact *few thousands* damage) to your HP *only*, and does NOT do damage to your MP (Regardless of whether you have activated skills which use MP to absorb some of the damage using MP, e.g. Magic Guard for some magician jobs), etc.). - This happens despite the fact that the Erdas of Rest and its other form Erdas’ Lantern, in the normal Erdas of Rest monster maps, can deal only 1 damage to you if you have enough Arcane Force from your "Arcane Symbol: Road to Extinction"(Arcane River's Arcane Symbol). - I would recommend entering Monster Farm if you are going to be AFKing (Away-From-Keyboard-ing) in a monster map in this region, to prevent the flying Erdas’ Latern from possibly killing your character(which will result in the loss of EXP due to the death of your character). Thank you. - The damage per hit is 10% of your character’s max buffed HP, rounded up if the 10% is a decimal number with .1 to .9; and your character will be unable to use potions if touched/attacked/hit by the flying mob. = 2. Chew Chew Island (in Arcane River): 1) Maximum level of normal monsters: lv219. 2) Maximum Arcane Force of normal monsters: 160 Arcane Force. 3) Maximum Arcane Force required to receive only 1 damage from all normal monsters=160+(160/2)=240. *Please be careful of the random flying monster in this region's monster maps*. The random flying monster is Green Birshark. Chew Chew Village has a green flying shark-like monster (Birshark) which also deals the same damage as Nameless Village’s flying green latern. {8} BLACK BEAN (soloing 5 times a day) - Recommended buffed damage range: At least 100,000+ (100k)

Recommended level to start trying (please train 4th job skills which add to damage range until they reach their maximum levels, starting from lv100, as early as possible): lv130+
-
Soloing BLACK BEAN 5 times a day (Victoria Island 6-path crossway > airplane renting NPC > Gold Beach> Black Cat NPC), 0.01% exp at lv 207 per win, 2% exp at level 134, tradable potions from the 5 rounds can earn you a few million mesos in total if you sell them to npc shops. (Reindeer milk, dew, elixir and power elixir).
-
Lv70 TRADABLE accesories with NO set effect drop from the boss too, which have a chance to have hidden potential, up to +2% of a primary stat!!!! Good to boost your lv70+ link skill and/or character card mules.
-
You can extract the lv70 non-(auto-flame/potential)-boosted items to get intermediate item crystals to sell at 199,999 Mesos EACH!!!!! (and a small chance to get advanced item crystals worth 99,999 mesos each by doing so.)
-
BLACK BEAN also has a VERY LOW chance to drop TRADABLE CHAOS SCROLLS 60% for 1,499,999 mesos each!
-
Recommended average buffed damage range is at least 100k (i.e. 100,000), because once you are hit by black bean's attacks, you get the 'wet' abnormal status effect which reduces your damage range by about 50% and you cannot jump, and you will die if you are hit by another blue attack!
-
You can cure the wet effect by picking up the "pill" potion at the far left of the boss map.  There is No death % EXP loss if you die 1 to 4 times, or all 5 times(=failed round). YOU MAY HAVE TO RELOG to recover from the 'wet' effect if there is any technical bug which prevents you from curing the 'wet' effect by picking up the "pill" potion at the far left of the boss map.
-
***Black Bean can cast the Undead abnormal status, which does damage to player characters if they are healed by Bishop (4th job name)'s 2nd job skill Heal.***
-
***NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY HAVE 1 BLACK BEAN RING BEING EQUIPPED OR BEING IN YOUR INVENTORY. YOU CAN STORE A CHARACTER'S BLACK BEAN RING IN YOUR STORAGE, TO ALLOW YOUR CHARACTER TO GET MORE BLACK BEAN RINGS. THANK YOU.***
-
Total guaranteed earnings from selling all the tradable potions from the 5 daily rounds to npc shops: Usually more than 3 million mesos, usually lesser than 4 million mesos.

{11}  Content recommended for lv180+ players -
if you see the Kritias invasion notice in-game, go to Kritias monster maps. Kritias can be accessed via Pantheon's interdimensional portal (from inside the Pantheon temple). Alternatively, the first monster map of Kritias can be accessed via a portal at the Leafre (Minar Forest) monster map: ''Leafre: Sky Nest I". Runes also appear inside the monster maps (for 100% monster experience received boost, for 2 minutes, cooldown to activate another rune: 15 minutes). Recommended for soloing.
Prepare potions.
So far, I have encountered two different types of invasions:
1. An invasion with monsters from Heliseum, which are under the rule of Magnus (the expedition boss enemy of the Nova race (who live in the town called Pantheon) in MapleStory)
Monsters can deal around 4k to 7k damage per hit.
MONSTER TO LOOK OUT FOR:
The GUERRILLA SPECTER monster can deal 3 hits of around 4k to 7k damage EACH! (VERY DANGEROUS!!! Bishops, please activate heaven's door(Bishop hyper skill), it is very easy to get heaven's door cancelled when magic guard is not turned on. Bishops would probably burn too many potions that refill mana (recommended: power elixirs(heals 100% hp and mp)), if magic guard is turned on). Do take note that bishops are able to fully heal ONLY their OWN HP, with one use of angel's ray, be it in angelic vengeance (bishop hyper skill) mode or not. (My MapleStorySEA main is a bishop.) A bishop can only tank 1, but not 2 of this monster's attack, so, ONLY IF the cannon shooter level 2 link skill (when the cannon shooter is a lv120 cannon master) of +10% hp/mp +15 stats, and 9 rank S character cards for [(+700 hp/mp +3wa/ma + 3% boss damage) MULTIPLIED BY 3], are used (at least these are being used).
The chance of heaven's door being cancelled, for a bishop, is VERY HIGH. (I think I got mine cancelled by a Guerrilla Specter.)
-
***Do note that I am not recommending bishops to use the lv2 (at lv120) Kaiser link skil of +15% hp, for MapleStorySEA, as of now. This is because a character can only inherit up to 12 link skills as of now, and according to my part 1 and part 2 notes for boosting a main character's damage, a bishop will not be able to inherit this skill as there are 12 link skills that I feel are more useful (including the cannon shooter link skill), as compared to the Kaiser link skill.***

2. An invasion with monsters from the Time Temple, and monsters under the rule of Arkarium (he can summon snake/serpent Void Priests).
Each monster can deal 1 hit of around 4k to 6k damage.
MONSTER TO LOOK OUT FOR:
The snake/serpent Void Priests will heal the HP of monsters around them and themselves. Therefore, they should be defeated as soon as possible after they appear.

***NOTE: Kritias invasions occur at the start of the hour.***

{12} Dangerous boss effects/bosses -
1. lv102 Ephenia (Fairy boss in lv98 to lv102 Elin Forest), can cast seduce, so you cannot use skills, potions, or even move when the seduce is successful.

2. lv158 Lilynouch (ice region boss in Time Temple) starts to reflect damage when its HP reaches HALF - it will glow purple to activate that effect. Wait for the damage reflect buff effect icon on top of it to disappear, and wait for at least 3 seconds, before attacking it. It will glow purple again if it activates the effect again, in set intervals of time. Its counterpart in the Silent Crusade mystic portal DOES THE SAME THING.

3. lv168 Lyka (fire region boss in Time Temple), can cast seduce, so you cannot use skills, potions, or even move when the seduce is successful.
Its counterpart in the Silent Crusade mystic portal DOES THE SAME THING.

4. lv165 Tarantulos (boss of Colossus Rock Giant THEME DUNGEON):
1) Falling rocks 1hp/1mp attack
2) Web attack (if caught, you must press the left and right arrow keys repeatedly, and rapidly, to get out of the web effect, or else you will die if the bar fills up to full.)
Reward: lv10 (UNTRADABLE ONCE EQUIPPED) badge that can add a few stats or a few weapon/magic attack, or both, at random. Obtainable by opening the Halfling expedition box that drops from the boss at a low chance.

5. Guide on how to fight NORMAL Root Abyss bosses:
https://maplestoryseatips.blogspot.sg/2016/03/maplesea-root-abyss-normal-mode.html
There are a LIMITED number of deaths allowed (5 times for Normal mode since I have tried it myself), and you WILL lose experience in CHAOS mode, but NOT in Normal Mode.

6. Both Normal Hilla and Hard Mode Hilla can cast damage reflect after set intervals of time, and Hilla will start casting this VERY SOON after you enter the boss map. Wait for the damage reflect buff effect icon on top of it to disappear, and wait for at least 3 seconds, before attacking her. There will be a message displayed across the screen when Hilla casts damage reflect to say that she is casting damage reflect. You will not lose experience if you die in Normal Hilla mode, and there are unlimited deaths allowed in Normal Hilla mode. You WILL lose experience points if you die in Hard Hilla mode, and there are LIMITED deaths allowed in Hard Hilla mode.

7. To those attempting to fight the (lv140 to lv150) final boss for Eastern China - Grand Hall of Sages - Shaolin Monastery, please be careful of one of the attacks of the boss, which will damage half of your HP. Please prepare a lot of high-HP healing potions if you are doing the Shaolin Monastery quest chain (lv140 to lv150). Thank you.

***To enter the Azwan Obelisk to fight Hilla,
[1] Much faster way:
Any town > Quick Move> Mirror of Dimension > Fight for Azwan***
(As informed by a player. This happened recently, a few patches after the You & I Patch)

[2] Manual way (This was needed right after the You & I Patch)
you need to enter via the portal at a monster map between Ariant and Magatia. The monster map is called 'The Burning Sands: North Desert Road 1'.
This monster map is MUCH CLOSED to Ariant, and MUCH FURTHER from Magatia.
(Fight for Azwan is NO LONGER available via the Mirror of Dimension via 'Quick Move' in towns.)
-
-
-
7. EASY Magnus (For access: level 90, light bulb quest at the left of the screen, defeat monsters in a map to unlock the pre-quests for NORMAL Magnus and access to Easy Magnus.
-
There should be a light bulb quest, when you reach a certain level, to fight Easy Magnus) Location of boss: Heliseum Reclamation HQ.
-
A party of at least 1 member, who is level 115+, is needed. Can only be done 1 time, per day, per character.
-
The boss has an attack that can hit damage half of your HP.
-
DODGE the meteors. They deal very high damage (the larger they are, the more damage they deal).
-
Magic guard (skills which some magician jobs have only)seems to be unable to absorb any damage taken during the fight!!!

{13} Training for Zero, from level 100 to level 180 in Mirror World -

ZERO TRAINING NOTES from lv100 to lv180 in the MIRROR WORLD:
-
START OF ZERO TRAINING NOTES

FOR ZERO CHARACTERS ONLY: Train in THEME DUNGEONS, do Mirror World town quest, do Zero storyline town quests, and use this method!!!https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=614932095268849&set=a.119532404808823.22143.100002561932116&type=1&theater
"Erm, okay, I think I better help everyone training Zero characters. Tears of Time can be obtained from boss monsters in the dungeons in the different town areas in the Mirror World. At the Sanctun of Time in Zero's Temple: It can be used to increase your experience 4 times a day, but you can only hold 1 Tear of Time at any one time. The 'Timic Coin' option uses up 40 Timic Coins. You can also use it to increase your experience 4 times a day. This use count is separate from the Tear of Time use count, so both can be used 4 times a day. The 'Tear of Time' option boosts more experience points as compared to the 'Timic Coin' option, per use."
-
Regarding activating the Sanctum of Time in Zero's temple, based on my own experience: "I think you need to wait till a Mirror World Magatia dungeon boss drops the Tear of Time, then go to Zero's temple with it to activate the npc and start using it via the npc."
-
It would be advisable to collect at least 20 of each dungeon normal monster's drops and a few of the dungeon bosses' drops for the quests beforehand. Realize that for every 2 to 3 levels, the drops are required for the quests. After you finish the quests before a Zero storyline quest, you can safely sell the drops of that previous dungeon to the npc shops.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I just realized that the 'Sanctum of Time' npc will no longer be available after the lv180 storyline quest is completed at lv180:x

(Informed by a player:)
***Mirror World Kritias hard mode: 200000 EXP (also known as 200k EXP) per kill.
The boss can cast DAMAGE REFLECT.
(Watch out for any purplish-black sword symbol on top of the boss - the damage reflect symbol.
Also watch out for any animation that happens when a buff is cast by the boss.)
Dying reduces your % EXP!!!***

From the meso-earning note:

1. DIMENSION FRAGMENT 5m each, from Zero Mirror World dungeons, and it is worth 10 Timic Coins (from monsters and bosses in Mirror World dungeons, and Mirror World town quests) in the quartermaster's shop in Zero's Temple.

2. lv172 Zero Mirror World Time Temple Amnesiac Time Keeper quest gives a TRADABLE 100% weapon attack +3 (1 upgrade slot) scroll! Therefore, at least 1 BILLION mesos.

Lv33+ permanent content: Stellar Detectives (because the bosses are very difficult to defeat, and very easy to die to, it is recommended that players stop doing Stellar Detectives once Page 10 of the Stellar Detectives Diary has been read (this quest is available immediately after completing the "A Star is Born" quest. At lv75, do the Afterlands quest-chain to unlock the lv90 Afterlands accessory set. You would probably reach around lv90+ if you manage to complete all the quests for the Afterlands. When you are lv80, train at Ariant Circle - the monster map with "Deo" boss, for Silent Crusade coins. Please note: Lv90 unlocks Silent Crusade. Chimera (there is an NPC (non-playable character) in the Zenumist monster map, who will allow you to access Chimera. You can use Scroll Lock to take a screenshot of the password, which you will need to key in once, at both of the Zenumist-to-Alcadno “connecting doors”.) : Chimera's level is around lv100, but you can start hunting it at lv90+. When you are lv105+, remember to do Monster Park whenever possible. The lv105+ Monster Park can be entered for two times daily, per server, per MapleSEA game account. The Friday rewards for Monster Park give a few million mesos, based on chance. Lv117 Master Birk in a monster map near Leafre Town. The 2 bosses which drop Silent Crusade coins, even when your character is at around lv140+, are as follows: El Nath - Dead Mine region - Snowman (around lv120+, El Nath has a lv115 boss quest-chain related to the boss, and you can earn fame by completing this non-repeatable (per character) boss-quest chain, you can start hunting the boss at lv110+) El Nath - Dead Mine region - Riche (around lv130+, you can start hunting it at lv120+, but please make sure NOT to use the “heal” skill if you are playing as a Bishop, because when your character is *zombified* by Riche, using *heal* deals a lot of damage to your Bishop, and *can kill your Bishop*.)
