[MapleStorySEA] My Maple Union character training (to lv140) order

Contents page: https://maplestoryseatips.blogspot.sg/2016/03/maplesea-contents-page-of-facebook-notes.html

***IMPORTANT: Maple Union can only allow up to 40 characters to be equipped in the Maple Union Puzzle. The Total Union Level of your Maple Union is the sum of your highest lv60+ characters, and this is limited to *40* characters at most. Thank you.***

Note: If your Maple Union Coins are maxed out, you can only collect ***500*** Maple Union Coins. Thank you.

=

***
IMPORTANT:
You should be able to achieve a total of +27% critical rate for your main character, by doing the following:
-
1) Train Phantom to lv120, and link its link skill to your main character (linking of link skills can be done at lv70, and the character giving the link skill will not lose its link skill).
-
2) Train Crossbow Master and Night Lord to lv140 (Rank S in Maple Union) each, and equipping them in Maple Union % critical rate tiles.
-
3) Please make sure *not* to overoccupy Maple Union % critical rate tiles if your main character has exceeded 100% critical rate, taking note that the stat window of your main character will only show critical rate as 100%.
***

=

*** Very Important Note***:
Because:

1. 7000/40 = 175

2. The Maple Union Coin shop (Non-playable character: Mr. Pancho in most towns) 's untradable 49% EXP potions (requires the use of Maple Union Coins from Maple Union's "Join Battle!") can be used up to lv179, meaning it is possible for characters to reach lv180 by using these untradable 49% EXP potions, (I recommend that these potions to be used on characters which are lv140 to lv179.).

3. Up to 3 untradable, time-limited 50% additional potential scrolls can be purchased from the Maple Union Coin shop, at 200 Maple Union Coins each, and they will be restocked at the next (stated) restock date. There is NO destruction chance for failing these scrolls.

4. The Maple Union Coin Shop sells up to 3 untradable, time-limited 80% Golden Carving Stamps, which can be used to expand existing 2-line additional potential, to 3-line additional potential, for equipment and weapons which are allowed to have additional potential. Some event coin shops sell these as well.

5. 180 * 40 = 7200, is less than 7500, but is more than 7000, so it should be possible to reach
a Total Union Level of 7000 for a Maple Union.

6. This also means that by using the untradable Maple Union Coin shop's untradable 49% EXP potions, training 40 characters, each character reaching lv175, by using the untradable 49% EXP potions from lv140 onwards, (each character) should take about 1 week (7 days) to level-up twice.

140 X 40 = 5600

175 - 140 = 35

35 X 40 = 1400

1400/2= 700 weeks

700/52 = ***13 years and 6 months from the point in time 40 characters have each reached lv140.***

***Please do not forget that there is a limit to the number of uncollected coins for Maple Union's "Join Battle!" (I do not know what the limit is).***

For further visual explanation:
@@@HOW TO CONNECT A CHARACTER TILE TO ANOTHER CHARACTER TILE:
***EACH CHARACTER TILE MUST BE AT LEAST BE CONNECTED TO  "ONE-SQUARE-LENGTH" OF ANOTHER CHARACTER TILE.***
(A SQUARE HERE, REFERS TO THE SIZE OF A MAPLE UNION GRID SQUARE (TILE).)

Thank you.@@@

***EXTREMELY IMPORTANT***:
Please occupy the Maple Union tiles in this ***order***, for your main character:
***The primary stats of the character are the stats assigned using auto-assign in the stat window.***
1. Based on your main character, please identify your main character's primary stats and secondary stats.
1) Xenon: Primary stats - STR, DEX and LUK; Secondary stat - None.
2) Demon Avenger: Primary stat - HP; Secondary stat - STR.
3) Magicians: Primary stat - INT; Secondary stat - LUK.
4) Warriors and Pirates with primary stat STR: Primary stat - STR; Secondary stat - DEX.
5) Bowmen and Pirates with primary stat DEX: Primary stat - DEX; Secondary stat - STR.
2. Maple Union tiles to occupy, in the following order, where "1)" is the first to occupy:
1) Only one of the following cases apply to a main character.
Case 1: Magician main character - All Magic Attack ("M.ATT") tiles
Case 2: Non-magician main character - All Weapon Attack ("ATT") tiles
2) All Primary stat tiles.
3) All Secondary stat tiles.

=
4) **ALL HP ("HP") tiles for main characters which are NOT Demon Avenger, NOT Dark Knight and NOT Phantom; and

ALL HP ("HP") tiles for Demon Avenger
(primary stat HP, which is relevant to point 2: All Primary stat tiles),

Dark Knight and Phantom
(Phantom should steal Dark Knight's 3rd job skill Cross Over Chains to boost buffed damage range as HP increases, just like how the skill does the same for Dark Knight).***

=
5) Some % critical rate ("Critical Rate") tiles. (Please stop when a critical rate of 100% is reached/achieved for your main character.)

Some relevant things to take note of:

Equipping Crossbow Master and Night Lord help to boost % Critical Rate - ***Please kindly take note of the following:*** In the case of your Lv200+ main character which may have done the 5th job advancement at lv200+, may have 100% Critical Rate, from equipping the lv2 Phantom link skill when your Phantom character reaches lv120 for +15% Critical Rate, and/or equipping the Decent Sharp Eyes V Core which can be obtained from Core Gemstones with a certain % chance (technically, the % chance for obtaining Decent V Core skills may be lower than the % chance for obtaining V Cores for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th job skills; and the Hyper Attack skill, for each job. Please also kindly take note that any job would be unable to receive the passive and active effects of Decent V Core skills - such Decent V Cores may be disassembled for Core pieces, for crafting new Core Gemstones.), for +10% Critical Rate and +% Critical Damage, ***you may kindly replace Crossbow Master and Night Lord with Phantom for boosting the % Mesos which are earned from monster drops, and Arch Mage (Fire, Poison) for boosting % MP, for your Maple Union.***

=

***
***

=
6) Some % critical damage ("Critical Damage") tiles.
7) Some % boss damage ("Boss Damage") tiles.
8) Some % monster defense ignored ("Ignore DEF") tiles.
For illustration purposes, please refer to this photo of the Maple Union note's photo album:
Thank you.

=
NOTES:

=

1) The gigantic dragon boss cannot deal any damage to your character. It keeps changing colour once it has been defeated.

=

2) The Mini Dragons and the Golden Wyverns can deal damage to your character.

=

3) The daily quests are defeating 100 Mini Dragons for 10 Maple Union Coins and
defeating 20 Golden Wyverns for 20 Maple Union Coins. If you complete any of these two quests on any day ***[On any character in the same server and in the same MapleSEA game account]***, you CANNOT repeat that quest for that day (the case of doing the quests halfway - not completing them yet). It seems to me that no EXP is earned from defeating Mini Dragons and Golden Wyverns, but I may be wrong.

=

4) From 17 May 2017 to 13 June 2017, the Maple Union Coin requirement to level up the Maple Union Rank is HALVED. (As stated by Ms. Appropriation the Dragon Slayer, who is an NPC in towns, and this NPC gives the two quests stated in "3)")

=

5) ***Maple Union can be accessible via MENU at the bottom right. This is where you can allocate the character tiles to your Maple Union, limited by the number of members allowed for your Maple Union.***

=

6) I do not recommend adding/occupying tiles in the MP section, but it will be necessary to occupy for accessing the TOP LEFT and BOTTOM LEFT Maple Union MP tiles (these 2 tiles) to access other tile boosts (the ones that are not accessible when you only have 9 to 13 members allowed, allowed only at 18 or more members.

-

***[The number of members allowed for specific given Total Union Level (Maple Union Level), which is the sum of level 60+ character levels in the same server, in the same MapleSEA game account, is as follows
-
(***Do try to aim for lv140, that is, Rank S for each character of different jobs, for its 3-character-tile boost. Thank you.***)

=
***7) The *untradable* EXP (experience) potions sold by NPC Mr. Pancho (Maple Union NPC (non-playable-character shop), are for characters which are level 100+, but are not lv180 and above. They consist of 1) lv100 to lv129-usable potions, 2) lv130 to lv159-usable potions, and 3) lv160 to lv179-usable potions. Do take note that each character is limited to using each type of potion *5 times within the stated deadline (date and time) of the potion. The potions will be restocked when the stated deadline is reached.* Please only use them if necessary, to increase your Total Union Level, in order to unlock more equippable characters for your Maple Union.
[[[I recommend using the potions (NOT the lv100 to lv129-usable potions) on lv140+ characters, which are not lv180+.]]] Thank you.***
=
***8) Only characters equipped in Maple Union are able to collect Maple Union Coins by clicking on the “Join Battle!” button in the Maple Union “window/user interface”.***
=
***9) Maple Union Coins can be transferred via storage, to other characters.***
=

NOTE: As long as your lv60+ characters' levels add up to the required Total Union Level, you can unlock the corresponding Maple Union rank
(and thus the corresponding number of Maple Union characters allowed to be equipped in the Maple Union tile puzzle.)

=

1) Novice Union 1: 9 equipped characters in Maple Union: Requires Total Union Level of 500
[3 lv140 and 1 lv80 character can unlock this(or any other combination)]

-

2) Novice Union 2: 10 equipped characters in Maple Union: Requires Total Union Level of 1000
[7 lv140 and 1 lv60 characters can unlock this(or any other combination)]

=

11) Master Union 1: 27 equipped characters in Maple Union: Requires Total Union Level of 5500
[39 lv140 and 1 lv60 characters can unlock this]

-

12) Master Union 2: 28 equipped characters in Maple Union: Requires Total Union Level of 6000

[Requires 930 Union Coins]

[40 lv150 characters can unlock this]
*** Reaching this and stopping here is highly recommended (by me) for players who do not have the time to play MapleStorySEA everyday (like me).

Gentle reminder:
You do NOT need to have [39 lv140 and 1 lv60 characters TO unlock this]  - any lv60+ character level combination resulting in a Total Union Level of 5500, would be sufficient to lock this. This also applies for the other 19 cases.

Because of this, I will try to form the best 28-equipped character combinations for the different types of jobs (probably your main character(s)), boosting their primary stat(s) and secondary stat(s) :
These include the following, and you may use Ctrl+F to find the characters to be equipped in Maple Union, by typing {?}, where ? is to be replaced by the corresponding number:
-
{1} Other NON-HYBRID warriors (primary stat STR, secondary stat DEX) INCLUDING Dark Knight, EXCLUDING Demon Avenger; NON-HYBRID "knuckle/hand-cannon - using" pirates (primary stat STR, secondary stat DEX)
-
{2} Bowmen and NON-HYBRID "gun/soul-shooter - using" pirates (primary stat DEX, secondary stat STR) EXCLUDING Xenon
-
{3} Magicians (primary stat INT, secondary stat LUK)
-
{4} NON-HYBRID thieves (primary stat LUK, secondary stat DEX) EXCLUDING Xenon
-
{5} HYBRID thief/pirate Xenon (primary stats STR, DEX and LUK, *NO* secondary stats)
-
{6} Demon Avenger (primary stat HP, secondary stat STR)
-
Thank you. ***

-

***13) Master Union 3: 29 equipped characters in Maple Union: Requires Total Union Level of 6500
[40 lv163(rounded up from 162.5) characters can unlock this] (Do try to aim for this!!!)***

-

14) Master Union 4: 30 equipped characters in Maple Union: Requires Total Union Level of 7000
[40 lv175 characters can unlock this]

*** Very Important Note***:
Because:

1. 7000/40 = 175

2. The Maple Union Coin shop (Non-playable character: Mr. Pancho in most towns) 's untradable 49% EXP potions (requires the use of Maple Union Coins from Maple Union's "Join Battle!") can be used up to lv179, meaning it is possible for characters to reach lv180 by using these untradable 49% EXP potions, (I recommend that these potions to be used on characters which are lv140 to lv179.).

3. 180 * 40 = 7200, is less than 7500, but is more than 7000, so it should be possible to reach
a Total Union Level of 7000 for a Maple Union.

-

15) Master Union 5: 31 equipped characters in Maple Union: Requires Total Union Level of 7500
[40 lv188(rounded up from 187.5) characters can unlock this(or any other combination)]

=

16) Grand Master Union 1: 36 equipped characters in Maple Union: Requires Total Union Level of 8000
[40 lv200 characters can unlock this(or any other combination)]
-

17) Grand Master Union 2: 37 equipped characters in Maple Union: Requires Total Union Level of 8500
[40 lv213(rounded up from 212.5) characters can unlock this(or any other combination)]
-

18) Grand Master Union 3: 38 equipped characters in Maple Union: Requires Total Union Level of 9000
[40 lv225 characters can unlock this(or any other combination)]
-

19) Grand Master Union 4: 39 equipped characters in Maple Union: Requires Total Union Level of 9500
[40 lv238(rounded up from 237.5) characters can unlock this(or any other combination)]
-

20) Grand Master Union 5: 40 equipped characters in Maple Union: Requires Total Union Level of 10000
[40 lv250 characters can unlock this(or any other combination)]

7) You can choose not to turn on magic guard if you are using a Bishop (due to HP recovery caused by Angel's Ray) to fight in the Maple Union, but be careful of your HP! (Check the Beyond Patch Notes for the characters which boost HP if "equipped", and occupy the HP tiles (hyperlink at the bottom of this note))

8) ***You can right-click on the symbol in a character's brick to remove the character from the Maple Union tile puzzle.***

9) NOT THE BEST BUT A GOOD WAY TO USE MAPLE UNION FOR AN ALL-ROUNDED TOTAL BOOST FOR YOUR MAIN CHARACTER:
STEP 1: Determine the primary stat(s), and secondary stat(s) of your main character, if any. Xenon is the only job/class with no secondary stats, as STR, DEX and LUK are its primary stats. All other jobs/classes have 1 primary stat and 1 secondary stat each.
STEP 2:
Occupy Maple Union tiles of certain boosts, using character tiles which give the same types of boosts, as much as possible.

All jobs (preferably according to your main character(s) should use equip the following lv140 (rank S) characters, labelled using square brackets:

(1) To occupy "% critical damage" Maple Union tiles:
[1] Zen (boosts % critical damage)
[2] Hayato (boosts % critical damage)
[3] Eunwol (boosts % critical damage)
-

(2) To occupy "% boss damage" Maple Union tiles:
[4] Demon Avenger (boosts % boss damage)
[5] Kanna (boosts % boss damage)
-

(3) To occupy "HP" Maple Union tiles:
[6] Soul Master (boosts HP)
[7] Mihile (boosts HP)
[8] Dark Knight (*boosts % of HP*)
-
(4) To occupy "% monster defense ignored" Maple Union tiles:
[9] Blaster (boosts % monster defense ignored)
-
(5) To occupy "% critical rate" Maple Union tiles:
[10] Crossbow Master (boosts % critical rate)
[11] Night Lord (boosts % critical rate)
@@@ IMPORTANT paragraph: If your main character's % critical rate reaches 100%, (*Any possible leftover parts of character tiles can/should be used for other Maple Union puzzle tile boosts*). @@@
TAKING NOTE THAT your main character is allowed to use lv120+ Phantom (you will NEED to train one if you have the time to do so)'s level 2 link skill for +15% critical rate.

=

***
***

=

-
(6) Save HP/MP potions by having a small chance to recover a % of HP/MP for every attack your character does:
[12] Aran (Small chance to recover a % of HP for every attack your character does. Necessary for *all jobs*.)

[13] Evan (Small chance to recover a % of MP for every attack your character does. Necessary for *magicians which use MP to take most of the damage
done on them by monsters*.

WE SHALL ASSUME THAT XENON does NOT use Evan, if only up to 28 characters
can be equipped in Maple Union, at Total Union Level 6000.)

Explanation: *Aran* and Evan are useful to save you some HP and MP potions respectively, if they are EQUIPPED to your Maple Union. Training to at least rank S (lv140) for both should be good enough.
-

(7) Boost primary stat(s) (Xenon has primary stats STR, DEX and LUK;
and does NOT have any secondary stats) ; and boost secondary stat:

IMPORTANT:
***[Stated below are the 28 characters I recommend for equipping in the Maple Union.
You can choose to train the stated 28 characters in any order you want. Thank you.]***

{5} HYBRID thief/pirate Xenon (primary stats STR, DEX and LUK, *NO* secondary stats)
*Specifically for the case of Xenon (primary stats STR, DEX and LUK,
NO secondary stats):*

///
Please note: The following characters mentioned are not exhaustive.
Case 1: Dark Knight, Hero, Paladin, Viper, Cannon Master, Striker, Kaiser, and Ark should occupy (As Many As Possible) STR Maple Union tiles ONLY IF your Main Character's primary stat is STR.
Case 2: Bowmaster, Wind Breaker, Angelic Buster should occupy (As Many As Possible) DEX Maple Union tiles ONLY IF your Main Character's primary stat is DEX.
Case 3: ArchMage (Ice, Lightning), Bishop, Flame Wizard, Luminous, Battle Mage, Kinesis and Illium should occupy (As Many As Possible) INT Maple Union tiles ONLY IF your Main Character's primary stat is INT.
Case 4: Shadower, Dual Blade, Night Walker, Phantom, Cadena, and Ho Young should occupy (As Many As Possible) LUK Maple Union tiles ONLY IF your Main Character's primary stat is LUK.
***Case 5: Xenon should occupy (As Many As Possible) STR, DEX, and/or LUK Maple Union tiles, ONLY IF your Main Character has STR, DEX and/or LUK as its PRIMARY stat(s).***

*****Case 6: If your Main Character is a:
[1] Demon Avenger (Necessary to occupy HP tiles),
[2] Dark Knight (Please occupy STR tiles)
[3] OR a Phantom (Please occupy LUK tiles),

you should occupy (As Many As Possible) Maple Union *HP* tiles,
because
[1] Demon Avenger's primary stat is HP,
[2] Dark Knight's "Cross Over Chains" skill increases buffed damage range more if Dark Knight's buffed HP is higher,
[3] Phantom can steal Dark Knight's "Cross Over Chains" skill to have higher buffed damage range.*****
REQUIREMENT 8: OCCUPY AS MANY PRIMARY STAT *AcCoRdInG to your Main Character*
(Should be very possible for most jobs except for Xenon
*if there are currently only up to 28 equipable characters for Maple Union*, I think)

AND

WEAPON ATTACK/MAGIC ATTACK *AcCoRdInG to your Main Character* Maple Union tiles as possible!!!

REQUIREMENT 10: EQUIP lv140+ (lv140: Rank S) WILD HUNTER FOR A CHANCE TO INCREASE DAMAGE!

IF POSSIBLE (1) : EQUIP lv180+ (lv180: Rank S for Zero) ZERO FOR A % BOOST TO EXPERIENCE EARNED FROM DEFEATING MONSTERS CHANCE TO INCREASE DAMAGE!

IF POSSIBLE (2) : EQUIP lv140+ (lv140: Rank S) MERCEDES FOR REDUCING
SKILL COOLDOWN.

IF POSSIBLE (3
): EQUIP lv140+ (lv140: Rank S) PHANTOM FOR A % INCREASE TO MESO DROPS FROM DEFEATED MONSTERS!

***Based on 28 characters (Total Maple Union Level 6000) to be equipped in your Maple Union based on these requirements:

CONCLUSION: AIM for Total Maple Union Level 6000 (28 equipable characters). Usually, we do have real-life commitments like academic studies
and/or work, and family-related commitments.

After reaching, then you can decide whether to train your characters for a
higher Total Maple Union Level (to equip more characters in Maple Union).

Maple Union boosts(not sure if all Maple Union boosts apply) affect all characters (outside of Maple Union Battle).

We need to start the boss battle, to start to earn Maple Union coins. The quests' monster requirements only count when the character we are using defeats those monsters.

The Beyond patch notes' Maple Union stat boost list states that up to 40 lv60+ characters can be equipped in Maple Union.

Thank you.

The following is a repeat of:

=

***
***
=
***If a player character's fully (completely) buffed % critical rate, *without the level 2 Phantom link skill for +15% critical rate*, reaches 100%; the player character should be able to maintain 100% fully (completely) buffed critical rate, while increasing the player character's critical damage by 4%, with the level 2 Kinesis link skill.***
=
Thank you.
