How to manual patch, if the auto-patch is unavailable or not working

Given the above references,

Step 1: Download the manual patch, either by using 1) the Playpark Downloader, or 2) using the correct manual patch link at http://www.maplesea.com/download/gameclient

(The following is not necessary, but good to take note of: If both methods work, the downloaded manual patch file should have the same file size.)

Step 2: Right-click on the downloaded file, and click on Properties. The downloaded file should be a .exe file.

Step 3: Click on the Compatibility tab.

Step 4: Under/in the Compatibility tab, click on Change settings for all users.

Step 5: Please make sure that under/in the Compatibility for all users tab, the following 2 (two) boxes need to be ticked (checked):

1. Run this program in compatibility mode for:

2. Run this program as an administrator 

Then click OK for the Compatibility for all users tab.

After that, click OK for the Compatibility tab.

Step 6: Double-click on the manual patch file to run it.

Step 7: The Browse for Folder window will appear. You need to click on the MapleStorySEA folder as shown by the screenshots at  http://www.maplesea.com/updates/view/guide_how_to_patch_your_maplestory_game_client/

Then, click OK for the Browse for Folder window.

The patching of the game should proceed smoothly and successfully.
